RESOURCE NAVIGATION

You are the expert on your family. Our Family Resource Navigators will provide one-on-one support to assist you in navigating the many existing resources in the community to ensure your family’s needs are being met.

CNF provides resources for parents such as support groups, budgeting help, parenting tools, and much more to help your family thrive. Some challenges we assist with are advancing education, housing concerns, mental support, signing up for government services, and any other challenge your family may face.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO UTILIZE THE CENTER FOR NURTURING FAMILIES AND ITS SERVICES?

The Center for Nurturing Families is available for any parent or caregiver who resides within Elkhart County and is free of cost to any participant. Family Resource Navigators can also help you to determine if another CAPS program is a good fit and assist you in the enrollment process.

PARENT CAFÉS

Find support through one of our many support groups or Parent Cafés. Parent Cafes are safe spaces where parents and caregivers talk about the challenges and victories of raising a family. Through individual self-reflection and peer-to-peer learning, you can explore your own strengths, learn about the Protective Factors, and create strategies from your wisdom and experiences to strengthen your family.

Parent Cafés are offered monthly in both Spanish and English. A meal for you and your family is provided at the beginning. Following the meal, children leave to do fun activities with our trained staff so you can fully participate and engage in conversations with other parents.
