Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) has announced an upcoming training session for those interested in volunteering in Elkhart County. To qualify, candidates must be age 21 or older, have no felonies, and possess the ability to be non-partial. Training begins July 11 and those interested can register online at capselkhart.org.Or, click the button below to register.
“The CASA is trained to work with all individuals involved in the child’s life and advocate for the best interest of the child. The CASA is encouraged to develop a relationship with the child involved. The CASA provides the magistrate with well-rounded, objective information and recommendations. CASA volunteers are a consistent voice for a child who has no voice in court.”
