Each year in November, CAPS holds an hour-long free breakfast event to spread the word about child abuse and what we all can do to prevent abuse in our community.
This year, the Lifesaver Breakfast will be in March 2018, and we would like to invite our neighbors in Elkhart County to hear our story and learn about the horrible consequences of abuse, as well as the incredible effects of education, intervention and advocacy in making this a better place for children to grow up.
In Elkhart County, the rate of child abuse and neglect is lower than the state and national averages, and has fallen 26 percent faster than the state average since 2008. Our tight-knit community of agencies, organizations, businesses, volunteers and informed citizens makes the difference, and CAPS programs have been the foundation for that difference for 40 years now.
If you would like to attend the Breakfast this year from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. in downtown Elkhart, please contact Claire Powell, CAPS Fundraising Manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 574-295-2277 for more information. If you would like to be a Table Captain and bring seven friends, sign up with the form below! Space is very limited, so don’t delay!
